Maybe Baylor or TCU could’ve won in 2014 maybe OSU or Wisconsin could’ve won in 2017. Hilariously the two most controversial both won the whole damn thing, but 2014 OSU and 2017 Bama having won doesn’t necessarily mean they were the right selections. There have been several controversial CFP selections. OR Wisconsin’s one score lose to a team that was close to Bama wouldn’t be enough to knock them bellow Bama (especially with Auburn losing so decisively in the SEC Championship game).Īnd please ignore my flair, this isn’t a gripe about OSU not getting in or whatever. If Bama and OSU were close, one would think a win over a team ranked higher than Bama would vault OSU over Bama.
